Passing Whispers

Passing Whispers

 [Verse]

Tiny whispers on folded wings

The paper carries secret things

Ink trails map a hidden code

In class

A world we've not yet showed

[Verse 2]

Eyes meet briefly

Then we glance away

Silent messages

We concoct and play

Each note a fragment of unspoken truth

Our silly rebellion

The dance of youth

[Chorus]

Passing notes that hold the skies

Dreams and fears our penned disguise

Through the quiet

They softly float

Our hidden hearts in every note

[Verse 3]

Margins filled with hurried art

Quick doodles from an open heart

The teacher stares

We feel the freeze

Yet thrill whispers in this breeze

[Bridge]

Crinkled paper

Crumpled fate

Silent joy we communicate

Time dissolves

Yet here they lay

These fragile echoes of a school-day play

[Chorus]

Passing notes that hold the skies

Dreams and fears our penned disguise

Through the quiet

They softly float

Our hidden hearts in every note
